Wild Horse Wind & Solar Facility Tour
Saturday, October 15th
11 Members of the Seattle Section gathered at the TripleXXX Drive-In in Issaquah for a fun drive to Ellensburg for lunch, then to the Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility for a tour. They learned about the history and technology of the site. They then went inside one of the wind turbine bases to see the equipment up close.
After many questions and answers, the group drove to the Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park beside the Columbia River.
Another great tour with new and fun roads, education, and time outdoors. Thank you Patti and John Spaulding for guiding us.
