SOVREN Car Corral
June 29, 2024
By David Glass
On June 29th, Seattle Section racing enthusiasts enjoyed a day of watching the Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Auto Races at Pacific Raceways. The Society Of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN), a Seattle-based non-profit organization, presents the vintage races for the benefit of uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Nine MBCA members and guests in six beautiful Mercedes automobiles participated in the Car Corral and lunchtime parade laps. We met at the track, set up a membership recruiting tent, touched up our cars, and wandered off to see some of the other 200 collector cars in the Car Corral. The pits were open to spectators and gave an opportunity to see the competitor race cars up close. After the parade laps around the track, we settled in to watch the races and discuss the many classic automobiles. The weekend celebrated Ferrari.
We look forward to seeing you at the SOVREN event next year.
